Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation's Power Conversion business. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise to support our Dynamic Positioning (DP) Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with customers and field service engineers to resolve technical issues related to DP systems.
  • Carry out analysis of diagnostic files and collaborate with team members and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Work on customer sites, as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the reliability and stability of DP systems.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to advise on technical aspects of bids for upgrades or new systems.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Several years of experience working with DP systems, including design, installation, commissioning, or maintenance.
  • Good understanding of programming PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems programming.
  • Knowledge of automation, control algorithms, and communication networks.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas for short-term working.
  • Valid UK/EU passport to meet travel requirements.
