The Principal Designer's Role

The successful Principal Designer will play a pivotal role in managing design risks and ensuring that all projects adhere to safety regulations.

  1. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating design risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Ensuring all projects comply with CDM 2015 regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
  3. Providing expert advice to clients, contractors, and design teams on CDM compliance and safety best practices.
  4. Working closely with project teams to integrate safety considerations from the design phase through to project completion.
  5. Relevant industry qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, APS membership, or equivalent.
  6. A proactive and collaborative mindset to ensure effective safety management in all projects.
