This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer, welder, fabricator, or fitter looking to transition into a store's role. The role will support the company's manufacturing activities across stores, stock control, and goods in quality and despatch areas.

The Role in Engineering Stores:
  • Manage the stores function and provide engineers on the shop floor with necessary components for assemblies on time.
  • Conduct goods inward inspection for all component parts entering the company, ensuring compliance to design specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Undertake purchasing, repair, maintenance, manufacturing, test, and installation tasks as requested.
  • Continuously monitor fast-moving consumables and re-order stock.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an engineering environment, ideally in fabrication or fitter capacity, with knowledge of engineering components and materials.
  • Hold a counterbalance FLT.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience in a fast-moving engineering or similar store environment.

The company is a well-established engineering business with a clean and well-equipped working environment and a solid, long-standing workforce. They offer training opportunities, including larger FLT and cranes.
