Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Reach plc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe Systems Maintenance: Observe, follow, and maintain the integrity of all safe systems across site, adhering to safety instructions and protocols.
  • Improvement Engineering: Deliver improvement engineering through structured problem-solving techniques and the application of engineering technical knowledge.
  • Operator Support: Assist and support operators in undertaking low-level engineering tasks in a structured process.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to improve equipment performance and support production activities.
  • Compliance and Maintenance: Ensure compliance with engineering visual standards and perform preventative maintenance in a prompt manner.
  • Training and Development: Complete all mandatory training requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Level 3 (NVQ) engineering qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline, or evidence of an appropriate, time-served apprenticeship in engineering.
  • Skills and Competencies: Ability to work in a flexible team and shift-based environment, multitask, and work to strict deadlines. Proficient in using continuous improvement tools and techniques, embracing new technology, and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Experience: Experience as a shift-based engineer in a manufacturing environment, with a background in FMCG and flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating shift pattern.
