Service Overview

Platfform has been commissioned by a leading healthcare provider to deliver a pioneering service for children and young people experiencing emotional distress. To achieve this, we have developed an innovative early mental health support hub, providing timely and out-of-hours support for children and young people aged 11-25.

Key Objectives

  • To provide a range of support and links with other provisions delivered by partners, local authorities, and third sector organizations to offer children and young people the best possible experience.
  • To develop the service alongside children and young people to ensure it meets their needs.
  • To provide both one-to-one wellbeing support and group-based activities, including therapeutic interventions, social events, and community-led initiatives.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Wellbeing Practitioner to support the work of the hub, providing direct trauma-informed support to children and young people and delivering group sessions and activities/events.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide trauma-informed support to children and young people, including emotional regulation and signposting.
  • To deliver group sessions and activities/events, including therapeutic interventions and social events.
  • To work closely with the Service Manager and wider team of practitioners, receiving clinical supervision and guidance from the team's Assistant Psychologist.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who can bring a deep understanding of relationship-based practice and an ability to communicate, educate, coach, and support young people to improve their wellbeing.

We are seeking practitioners who understand a trauma-informed approach and can provide both one-off and ongoing support and signposting during afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
