About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Tarmac Stowfield Quarry and Asphalt Plant, Coleford. This role involves working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work with minimal supervision. They should have proven experience working in an industrial, factory, or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to plant breakdowns, repair equipment, and maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Improve plant performance while maintaining safety and reliability.
  • Utilize documents and maintain policies for safe and efficient maintenance.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Apprentice trained Electrician and ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
  • 17th Edition - BS I.E.E Regulations and Legislation as a minimum (18th Edition preferred).
  • Testing & Inspection qualification (preferred).
  • Experience of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology and Continuous Improvement.
  • Working knowledge of relevant electrical and control engineering maintenance principles and practices.
  • Good working understanding of PLC's and use of associated tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AC Drives and Motors.
  • Knowledgeable in the area of Pre Planned Maintenance.
  • Experience in working with a Computer Maintenance Management System.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis tools/techniques.
  • Ability to design simple electrical systems and draw schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to perform electrical statutory tests and inspections.
