About the Role
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Main Theatres and Surgical Day Case Unit (SDCU) as a Theatre Practitioner/ODP. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement patient care plans, prioritizing workload according to changing clinical needs.
- Take charge of the clinical needs of a group of defined patients, delegating tasks to team members as necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation, adhering to Trust standards.
- Administer medicines in accordance with Trust policy, promoting a safe environment for patients.
- Respond promptly to problems/issues, utilizing complaints procedures and PALs where appropriate.

Person Specification
- Registered Nurse level 8 or C or C+G 752/ NVQ level 3 Operating Department Practitioner/ Dip HE in Operating Room Practice.
- Experience of caring for sick patients in a variety of settings, with a willingness to develop own clinical skills.
- Good basic level of English language, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems, use initiative, and prioritize workload according to changing clinical needs.
