Data Engineer, Prime Video Core Analytics and Tooling

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Prime Video Core Analytics and Tooling team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines using AWS cloud technologies such as Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, and S3.

Develop efficient systems and tools to process data, using technologies that can scale to seasonal spikes and easily accommodate future growth.

Work closely with global business partners and technical teams on non-standard and unique business problems, using creative problem solving to deliver data products that underpin Prime Video strategic decision making.

Requirements

Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR.

Experience as a data engineer or related specialty with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.

Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.

Experience with SQL and knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for full software development life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building large-scale, high-throughput, 24x7 data systems.

Experience with Redshift, Oracle, and NoSQL databases.
