Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced clinical, forensic, or counselling psychologists to join our team at AWP Secure Inpatient Services. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to individuals with significant mental health difficulties, including psychosis, who present a risk to others.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing direct clinical work, consultation, teaching, and staff support to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Completing specialist assessments, developing complex formulations, and designing and delivering individualized therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitating therapeutic groups and engaging in complex systemic work.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatry, nursing, arts psychotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified or about to qualify as a practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Forensic experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidates will be based in our medium secure men's service, with opportunities to work in our women's service or other secure services. We offer a range of working arrangements, including full-time and part-time options, to accommodate the needs of our candidates.
