About the Role
The School Crossing Patrol Service at Tameside Council is seeking reliable and conscientious individuals to work as School Crossing Patrol Officers during school term time at specific times in the morning and evening peaks. These times are dependent on the individual schools' start and finish times.
Main Duties
- Stop traffic to enable school children to safely cross the road at designated crossing points.
- Be responsible for the safety of all persons crossing the road at approved crossing points.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must be punctual, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative. You should also have a good awareness of traffic and be able to communicate effectively with pedestrians and other road users to ensure a safe environment.
