Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in Longfield, Kent. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour, promoting positive social interactions, and contributing to their academic and behavioural excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with challenging behaviour.
  • Support students in managing their behaviour in and outside the classroom, encouraging positive social interactions.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to the teaching staff, contributing to reviews and future planning.
  • Be alert to any safeguarding or pastoral concerns.
  • Assist in delivering tailored lessons and interventions aimed at improving behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Promote and encourage positive behaviour, self-regulation, and confidence-building activities.
