About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Family Support worker to join our team in Essex. As a key member of our Children and Families service, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with Qualified Social Workers to deliver targeted intervention work, in accordance with care plans, to support children and families.
  • Supervise Family Time and provide direct support in the community, building strong relationships with service users and partners.
  • Responsible for maintaining high standards of professional practice, contributing to continuous improvement across the service.
  • Highlight issues and implement plans to safeguard children, working collaboratively with internal and external agencies.
  • Provide information and advice on accessing third-party agencies relevant to service user needs.
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, and court hearings to provide information and evidence.
Requirements
  • Educated to NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of building strong relationships with children and families in challenging situations.
  • Experience of observing, facilitating, and reporting on Family Time.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the service and with external agencies.
