About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Meadowcroft - The Gallery, part of Acorn Education. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to our students with special educational needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.
  • Undertake the normal responsibilities of the class teacher, including some provision for cover of absent teachers.
  • Attend Teacher meetings as and when required.
  • Undertake such duties as are delegated by SLT.
  • Play a significant role in the establishment, maintenance and development of a calm and safe learning environment.
  • Provide and promote the emotional well-being of each individual to reflect our commitment to educating the 'whole pupil'.
  • Carry out the duties of a general class teacher, including some provision for cover of absent teachers.
  • Be responsible for teaching across both all-key stages.

Meadowcroft is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 5 to 19, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs in 4 sites across Wakefield.
