Highway Depot Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Depot Manager will oversee the daily management of five highways depots in Surrey, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of services 24/7. This role requires a strong leader who can manage all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) compliance for the five depots, including emergency arrangements, first aid, and fire management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Manage all aspects of HS&E compliance for the five depots, including emergency arrangements, first aid, and fire management.
- Ensure that each depot has an up-to-date Depot Management Plan that is regularly reviewed under the requirements detailed within the plan.
- Procure stock in accordance with company processes and maintain minimum stock levels, including undertaking monthly stock audits.
- Undertake general facilities management requirements to ensure the depots are a safe place to work.
- Manage waste streams entering and leaving the depot.
Requirements:
- Full Driving Licence
- Proven experience in depot or operations management, preferably within the highways or transportation sector
- Good financial management and budgeting skills
- Relevant qualifications in management, logistics, or a related field
- Experience with traffic management and highways maintenance
- Experience in facilities management
