The University of Birmingham is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Estates to lead the Estates Division and play a key role in shaping and delivering our ambitious Campus Vision. As a strategic leader, you will provide expert advice to the University Executive Board and drive excellence in service delivery across our large and varied university estate.
About the Role
The Director of Estates will be responsible for leading the Estates Division, comprising c.200 staff, and overseeing significant financial resources. You will be responsible for delivering major capital projects, setting a clear vision, and inspiring your team to achieve this. Your expertise will be crucial in helping us deliver our ambitious strategy to become a global top 50 university by 2030.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Estates Division and drive excellence in service delivery
- Provide strategic advice to the University Executive Board
- Deliver major capital projects and drive the Campus Masterplan
- Set a clear vision and inspire your team to achieve this
- Oversee significant financial resources and manage budgets effectively
