About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Manager to join our team at Apex Recruitment Services. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and enhancing our environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Coaching and Guidance: Offer expert advice and coaching to leaders and team members on safety best practices, ensuring a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Ensure Compliance: Oversee the Division's compliance with corporate and regulatory objectives, ensuring that all safety protocols are met.
  • Design and Facilitate Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety initiatives, programs, and procedures that promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Provide Guidance and Raise Awareness: Offer guidance and raise awareness of EHS best practices to other functions within the organization.
  • Actively Promote Safety Culture and Environmental Awareness: Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead and Develop the Safety Team: Lead and develop the Safety Team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Expected Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Education: A university degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, and EHS certification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Experience: Significant EHS Manager/management experience in an industrial work environment, with a strong practical knowledge of regulatory safety and environmental compliance.
  • Skills: Proven track record of driving cultural change in complex organizations, excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, continuous improvement mindset, and business acumen.
Travel Requirements

Will be required to travel for business purposes, approximately 25% of the time.
