Job Title: IT Test Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Test Manager to lead our testing activities and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

About the Role:

The IT Test Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing testing strategies, defining test plans, and managing test delivery. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage and test traceability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a test strategy that aligns with project objectives and business goals.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to create and sign off detailed test plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of testers, setting clear expectations and providing guidance to ensure efficient test creation and execution.
  • Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring appropriate coverage of functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
  • Define and document the defect management approach and tooling, identifying, tracking, and managing defects.
  • Promote and implement test automation where available and appropriate to improve the speed and efficiency of releases and patches.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide regular status reports on testing progress, issues, and test coverage to project stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Test Manager, Test Lead, or a similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Proficient in various testing tools and methods, such as ISTQB, ISEB, PMP, QAI, 9001, ISO, HP, CAPM, SILK, or ALM.
  • Strong knowledge of test management processes, design techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
