About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cook to join our team at Scout Adventures. As a Senior Cook, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team to deliver high-quality food preparation and service to our diverse range of guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Train and lead volunteers to follow Scout Adventures catering standards.
  • Prepare and cook a range of nutritious meals to meet the dietary needs of our guests.
  • Serve food to a high standard and ensure allergens and dietary needs are catered for.
  • Manage kitchen stock and place orders as needed.
  • Plan kitchen rotas based on business needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a large kitchen, preferably in schools or mass catering.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams.
  • Experience training and managing junior kitchen staff and volunteers.
  • Level 2 Health & Safety and Food Hygiene qualification required.
  • First Aid qualification is desirable.
