About this Role:

As a key member of the Fawkes & Reece South team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of 2-3 projects from input to second stage preconstruction phase through construction on site to handover through your construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client liaison and communication
  • Input to programming of work and design development
  • Management of site-based project teams
  • Ensuring company standards for health and safety are met and enforced
  • Quality assurance and control
  • Staffing and resource allocation
  • Forecasting and progress monitoring
  • Coordination and facilitation of project meetings
  • Reporting on project progress and performance
  • Issue resolution and conflict management
  • Driving teams to achieve successful delivery on programme, budget, and quality

About the Company:

Fawkes & Reece South is a Tier 1 main contractor with an annual turnover of £60-70 million, operating in the Hampshire south coast and M3/A3M corridor area. Our scope of works includes education, commercial, industrial, scientific, and MOD projects, secured through frameworks and competitive tenders.

Project Overview:

  • Projects typically range in value from £8 million to £40 million

Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a degree-qualified engineering or construction management background. You will have extensive practical experience of managing new build and refurbishment design and build projects for a Tier 1 main contractor, and have progressed through the Site Manager/Project Manager route. An experienced Project Manager looking to make the next step will also be considered.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent contractual, commercial, and technical construction knowledge
  • Ability to plan, programme, and drive the construction of projects through site teams
  • Positive client relationships and communication skills
  • High standards, attention to detail, and drive to deliver work on time, specification, and budget
