Geotechnical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at 3Sixty Resourcing Ltd. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our Geotechnical Engineering team in various aspects of geotechnical lab work, system assembly, and QA testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Assembly and QA Testing: Assemble and test systems for customer orders, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Provide feedback and propose improvements on in-house testing and calibration of products and systems.
  • Problem Solving and Debugging: Debug and problem-solve issues from a geotechnical perspective with customer systems and products.
  • Installation and Training: Install our client's equipment and provide associated training at customers' premises both internationally and in the UK.
  • Research and Development: Represent the client in future geotechnical development and research projects.
  • Testing and Validation: Test new or bespoke systems for geo/technical performance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum graduate level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or similar, with experience in geotechnical lab work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to quickly learn in-house developed software, experience of Microsoft Office for report writing and scientific data analysis, and a basic understanding of electronic/electrical components.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to think logically and problem-solve software, mechanical, and electrical issues, and a flexible approach to work.
