About the Role

As a Staff Nurse RMN or RNLD, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with acute mental health needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Ward Managers, Charge Nurses, Doctors, and Support Workers, to assess and treat patients, and support their recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to patients with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in the assessment and treatment of patients, including medication management and therapy
  • Support and mentor nursing students and junior staff members
  • Take on leadership roles, such as Safeguarding Lead or Equality & Diversity Lead

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Valid NMC registration (RNLD or RMN)
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices
  • Understanding of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
