Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Flex. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating electrical designs of switchboards and associated products, ensuring drawings are controlled, accurate, and easy to follow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems and switchboards for production and fabrication purposes.
  • Collaborate with production and test teams to resolve problems with new and existing product designs.
  • Assist with shop floor operations, site operations, and client witness testing as required.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, opportunities, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in team development and goal achievement, driving continuous improvement activities within engineering and production.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the electrical engineering sector, either in production or design.
  • Knowledge of switchgear is advantageous.
  • Experience with 2D design using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is beneficial.
  • Strong skills in written and verbal communication.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives.
