Key Responsibilities- Lead Performance Culture: Develop and implement procedures to enhance the performance of our logistics fleet, ensuring an effective and efficient customer interface from receipt of enquiry to order receipt and despatch of materials.
- Build Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with hauliers, customers, and drivers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Optimize Logistics: Work with local management to ensure customer deliveries are met cost-efficiently, harmonizing working between departments and identifying opportunities for logistical efficiencies and synergies.
- Escalation Point: Act as a point of escalation for queries from internal drivers, external hauliers, and owner drivers to maximize performance and synergies in the delivery of concrete to all customers.
- Compliance and Fleet Management: Liaise with the Transport Manager on compliance issues, excessive costs, vehicle issues, and fleet size.
- Flexible and Proactive Approach: Demonstrate a flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work, with the ability to anticipate problems and consider solutions.
- Strong Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, along with sound strategic, budgetary, and financial knowledge.
- Process Improvement: Have experience of process improvement and efficiencies within the logistics distribution and supply chain field.
- Continuous Development: Demonstrate a genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
