We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor to join our team at SJR Partners, a leading company in the manufacturing and surveying industry. Our organization specializes in providing advanced technologies, engineering solutions, and consulting services to optimize operations and ensure safety in refining and engineering sectors.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing costs and contracts for projects, ensuring financial efficiency and contributing to project success. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and managing project budgets and cost plans to ensure accurate financial forecasting and control.
  2. Performing comprehensive cost analysis and procurement processes to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  3. Coordinating with clients, contractors, and engineers to ensure project requirements are fulfilled and that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  4. Tracking and controlling project expenditures and valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  5. Delivering precise financial reporting and forecasting to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
  6. Negotiating contracts and overseeing subcontractor relationships to ensure successful project outcomes and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  2. Experience in the oil and petrochemical industry is preferred, but not required.
  3. Strong expertise in cost management and contract administration, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
