Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join our client's team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in planning and development, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering planning advice and guidance to clients
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and environmental assessments
- Identifying and evaluating potential development sites
- Developing and implementing planning strategies
- Presenting evidence at public inquiries and hearings
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and local authorities
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Chartered Membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute
- Extensive experience in planning and development, ideally within a consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of planning policies and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
