Financial Operations Support Specialist

At Potens, we are currently undergoing significant expansion, and as a result, our finance team is growing. We are looking for a Financial Operations Support Specialist to join our collaborative finance department, directly reporting to our Commercial Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in generating the monthly Management Accounts and Management Information.
  • Support Finance Business Partners in acting as the liaison between operational managers and the Head Office MI finance team.
  • Lead weekly exception reporting, ensuring timely and accurate information is gathered from operational teams and communicated to Finance Business Partners and Sales colleagues.
  • Aid in the preparation of the Annual Budget, year-end financial statements, and related documentation.
  • Assist with credit control to ensure timely payments from customers, including direct communication with external agencies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior finance colleagues to foster a positive and person-centered culture within the finance function and the broader organization.

Ideal Candidate:

  • AAT qualified or Part Qualified – study support will be provided.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a finance role.
  • A proactive team player with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to present data effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with account openings is a plus.
