Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to provide a comprehensive fire risk assessment service within residential properties and facilities under housing management.

As part of your responsibilities, you will conduct thorough surveys and follow up to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organizational protocols.

We are partnering with a prominent housing organization in the UK that aims to establish a top-tier in-house Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) team focused on social housing.

This team will be technically oriented, with the goal of consolidating expertise to deliver exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Executing type 1, 3, and 4 fire risk assessments across domestic housing, care facilities, and properties under housing management, including community centers.
  • Collaborating with the Fire Risk Assessment Manager and Senior Fire Risk Assessor to ensure assessments align with the Fire Safety Management System.
  • Overseeing and coordinating contractors necessary for destructive inspections as part of the type 4 fire risk assessment process.
  • Ensuring that all restoration work following intrusive surveys meets fire safety standards and is executed to a high standard.
  • Delivering clear and detailed fire risk assessments for all type 1, 3, and 4 evaluations.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate/Diploma or certification in Applied Fire Risk Assessment (previously known as FRA and Fire Safety Management) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in conducting fire risk assessments for residential properties and care facilities, with a proven track record of applying PAS 79 standards.
