Data Quality Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Lead to join our team at the NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board. As a Data Quality Lead, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality, completeness, and accuracy of data shared across our systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with the workstream leader to develop and manage the Data Quality workstream, ensuring that our data collection meets national, regional, and locally agreed data quality targets. You will be responsible for implementing and managing ICS Data Quality Improvement Policies and Plan, and will report progress against deliverables to the Intelligence Centre Programme Board and the Digital Delivery Board.

We are looking for a graduate with a relevant postgraduate qualification, preferably in medical/health statistics, Data Quality, or a similar field. You will have excellent analytical, IT, and problem-solving skills, with experience of using analytical tools and a logical approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the Data Quality workstream to enhance data quality across our systems.
  • Implement and manage ICS Data Quality Improvement Policies and Plan.
  • Report progress against deliverables to the Intelligence Centre Programme Board and the Digital Delivery Board.
  • Work with clinical leads and informaticians to ensure good data quality.
  • Support the workstream lead in developing a system network of data quality links.
Person Specification
  • Educated to masters level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification.
  • Expert knowledge of NHS data standards and definitions.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience of coordinating projects in complex environments.
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Expert understanding of the impact of data quality on the NHS.
  • Sound understanding of data quality management principles and best practice.
