Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Researcher in Neuroscience to join our team at the British Neuroscience Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking independent research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and graduate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake high-level original and independent research in an area complementary to the department's Research Centre for Neuroscience.
- Secure external funding to prosecute an independent research programme.
- Educate undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Contribute to the teaching and training of pre-clinical students studying for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine for the Department and College, and of non-medical students studying the Biomedical Sciences degree course.
Requirements:
- A higher degree (DPhil/PhD) in a relevant area of research.
- Excellent teaching, supervision, and research training skills.
- A commitment to the organisation and delivery of teaching.
- Substantial independent research accomplishment and a strong publication record.
- A substantial and realizable research plan that complements the department's research strategy.
