Job Title: Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from Cullompton to Birmingham, Hinkley, and London, and reloading back to Cullompton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trunking from Cullompton to Birmingham, Hinkley, and London, and reloading back to Cullompton.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
  • Working closely with the network hubs.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customer's expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.

Essential Skills:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Benefits:

  • Salary for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver is between £36,000 - £41,000, (including night shift allowance) and more depending on hours worked.
  • Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 48 hours per week, shifts starting between 18:00hrs – 21:00hrs.
