About the Role

As a Lead Java Developer, you'll be instrumental in guiding and mentoring our talented Java development team. You'll lead the charge in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable microservices that form the backbone of our e-commerce platform. This role demands a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of Java and a passion for delivering robust and innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of Java developers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from design and costing to deployment and maintenance of high-quality Java applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines, promoting code quality and maintainability.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring the delivery of clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Java development, with a solid understanding of Spring Boot Framework.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
