HGV Class 2 Driver Role
We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team in Wakefield. You will play a vital role in delivering our packaging products to customers throughout the region, ensuring a smooth and professional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute multiple customer deliveries within a designated area, typically involving 1-15 drops per day.
- Operate company HGV vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Load your vehicle daily upon return, securing the cargo effectively using forklifts or reach/counterbalance equipment.
- Provide a high-quality driving service that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
- Maintain strict adherence to vehicle security protocols and standing procedures at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-operation checks of your HGV vehicle and auxiliary equipment, reporting any defects promptly.
- Communicate any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner.
- Prioritize the health and safety of yourself and others by adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act. This includes reporting accidents, incidents, and damage promptly.
