Compensation: Up to £80,000 Depending on Experience
Our organization is a dynamic and expanding firm dedicated to investing in, developing, constructing, and managing a diverse array of renewable energy assets across the UK, primarily focusing on Solar Energy projects.
We are currently in search of a knowledgeable Grid Integration Specialist to oversee critical elements of the grid integration process for our expanding portfolio of renewable energy initiatives.
This role is pivotal in directing and managing the grid intelligence and integration process. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will be responsible for engaging with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission Network Operators, and the System Operator, while addressing intricate engineering challenges to devise the most effective connection strategies for our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficient understanding of DNOs and their operational processes.
- Experience in submitting G99 applications, conducting grid studies, and performing grid feasibility assessments.
- Ability to evaluate grid offers and collaborate with DNOs to secure a cost-efficient connection.
- Provide engineering insights to facilitate the development of a diverse project portfolio.
- Prepare and present technical documentation regarding projects to the broader team.
- Assist in technical design, site layout, optimization, and other site-related considerations.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the successful development and management of projects.
- Represent the organization at relevant industry events.
Candidate Profile
- BEng in a relevant discipline (Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar).
- Highly organized, capable of independently managing multiple complex technical projects while achieving personal objectives.
- Self-motivated individual eager to contribute within a small, agile team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of DNO connection applications and offers.
- Familiarity with distribution and transmission networks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Passionate about developing and enhancing a core function within the organization.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with transmission connections is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Background in renewable energy is preferred.
