About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Treasury to join our team at Oxford University Press. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the Group Treasury department and chairing the Treasury Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Communicate Treasury Policies: Develop and communicate agreed treasury policies and processes, monitor adherence, and ensure assets are protected and maximised.
  • Present Reporting and Policy Updates: Present reporting and policy updates to the Audit Committee and Finance Committee.
  • Monitor Treasury Activities: Monitor treasury activities in the UK and overseas to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to Investment Policy: Contribute to the development and implementation of investment policy.
  • Hedge Accounting: Manage the hedge accounting for foreign exchange deals under FRS 102.
  • FX Exposures: Ensure FX exposures are identified, forecasts prepared, and reported.
  • Treasury Data: Identify and track economic and other treasury data in support of business activities.
  • Overseas Cash Management: Manage overseas cash management.

About You:

  • Qualifications: A qualified accountant and corporate treasurer (MCT) with experience operating in a role with global reach.
  • Experience: Experience of working at senior level in corporate treasury functions.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, strong analytical and report writing skills, and an ability to plan and implement projects to tight deadlines.
