Adept Resourcing is collaborating with a dynamic manufacturer seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer. This pivotal role is essential in guaranteeing that products adhere to established quality standards through the application of recognized tools and protocols.
Role Overview:
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for inspecting and validating product quality to ensure conformity with required specifications prior to delivery to clients. The primary objective is to mitigate and avert quality-related issues within the organization while upholding superior quality standards, reporting directly to the QHSE Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in initiatives aimed at minimizing internal and external quality challenges.
- Accompany the QHSE Manager to suppliers and participate in quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and advancements.
- Examine defective products and compile detailed reports.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to resolve challenges in the production of new products and implement effective quality control measures.
- Investigate and address complaints and issues related to company products.
- Assist in the development and upkeep of internal testing procedures.
- Report to and support the QHSE Manager.
- Conduct visual and specific assessments to verify production specifications.
- Maintain regular communication with the QHSE Manager and participate in team meetings.
- Engage in training to broaden job responsibilities.
- Oversee the calibration system to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Compile and assist in the documentation of reports and logs with data and inspection outcomes.
- Analyze quality issues comprehensively, identify trends, and create a database to prevent future quality concerns.
- Perform internal audits to support ISO 9001 compliance.
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming deliveries and modified products.
- Rework, test, and visually assess electronic components.
Candidate Profile:
- Fundamental knowledge of electronics.
- Ability to troubleshoot to component level.
- Safe handling of mains voltage primary transformers.
- Experience in PCB manufacturing.
- Background in customer service.
- Experience in small to medium-sized enterprises.
- Collaborative experience with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a quality-focused role.
- Relevant qualifications such as A-levels, C&G, NVQs, or equivalent experience.
- Health and Safety Awareness Training.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System ISO 9001 / Internal Auditor for ISO 9001.
- Experience in drafting SOPs/testing instructions.
- Familiarity with basic technical equipment, including millimeters, calipers, and power supplies.
- Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of industrial standards and directives.
- Adept at managing conflicting priorities and timelines.
- Confident in executing tasks and engaging with individuals.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
- Possession of a valid UK driving license.
- Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
- Capability to work at heights.
