We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Central Editor to join our team at Reach plc. As a Central Editor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth distribution of content across our various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and direct messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an optimized workflow to support the distribution of news titles across all platforms.
- Collaborate with the Executive Editor to ensure that work carried out by the team is impactful and efficient.
- Support other departments, such as SEO, Marketing, and Insights, to help them achieve their objectives.
- Provide regular group-wide updates and guidance on platform and topic performance.
- Act quickly to take advantage of opportunities and ensure best practices are followed.
- Manage a team, creating a supportive and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of working at Editor level in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Experience in digital publishing, audience engagement, and distribution.
- Good up-to-date knowledge of how content is distributed through social and secure channels.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
