Role and Responsibilities

The Technical Principal will provide strategic technology consultancy to clients on the role of technology in aligning marketing and advertising within their business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Technology discovery and recommendations
  • Subject matter expertise in marketing technology, from 1st party data to digital media to marketing planning, workflow, marketing clouds, dynamic content, asset management, publishing, and measurements
  • Managing complex, global client stakeholders across all elements of Rapp's engagements
  • Supporting client partnership to define client development plans and ongoing client growth
  • Managing complex Omnicom Group agency engagements and stakeholders, aligning on technology and general working practices, driving technical roadmap, and thought leadership
Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be a proactive, dynamic, and results-oriented executive with the following skills and experience:

  • Technology and digital experience, likely with a senior leadership role in a digital agency or marketing technology business
  • Architecture and business analysis experience, with examples of developing client technology architectures and leveraging existing components
  • MarTech experience, with hands-on experience working with a range of marketing technologies
  • Leadership skills, with strong team-oriented leadership skills and the ability to frame and confront issues and make tough solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate openly and effectively both internally and externally
  • Conceptual and strategic skills, with the ability to integrate diverse information, apply flexible growth concepts, and think strategically
