Job Title: Design Manager

Join our team as a Design Manager and take on a challenging role in the Technical Services & Consulting department of NUVIA UK. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of buildings designs meets expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of work packages to required scope, quality, and support the Project Manager with schedule and cost management.
  • Provide technical design guidance and review of overall design packages, including safety functional requirements.
  • Ensure design documentation covers scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
  • Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and contributing to the project's technical planning process.
  • Ensure effective Quality Management Arrangements operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
  • Ensure staff and contractors are familiar with hazards and risks associated with work undertaken by the consultant team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in design and construction of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in managing design teams.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
