Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at UPS. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, and HGVs.
  • Carry out diagnostic tests and repairs to identify and fix mechanical issues.
  • Work with a team to achieve reliability and maintenance targets.
  • Develop and expand your skills further by working on a diverse range of vehicles.

What You'll Get:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £17.94 - £19.36, depending on experience.
  • Shift premiums and location allowance (if applicable).
  • A signing-on bonus of £1,000 (£500 upon commencing employment & £500 after month 6).

What You'll Need:

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Mechanics.
  • Initiative, planning skills, and a flexible, enthusiastic approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A C1, 7.5 tonne licence would be an advantage, though isn't essential.
