Job Description:
As a Maintenance Engineer with D R Newitt Recruitment Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our clients' production facilities. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to the overall reliability and safety of their production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance on production machinery to prevent breakdowns, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and optimise machinery performance, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, and participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, preferably within the food manufacturing sector.
- Qualifications: A relevant engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
