Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Hepatobiliary (HPB) CNS service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with liver, pancreatic, biliary, and gallbladder disorders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with the wider multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives/carers regarding disease treatment and management.
  • Provide expert knowledge of upper GI anatomy, physiology, and psychological functioning to produce an effective plan of care.
  • Assess patients via telephone or face-to-face clinics, using clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Work closely with the cancer pathway tracking teams to maintain efficient timelines on patient tracking lists.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Experience of working autonomously at an advanced level in specialty areas.
  • Evidence of management and leadership experience.
  • Evidence of student supervision and clinical education.
