Licensing Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing Lead - Export Control Specialist to join our Export Control Team at Urenco Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing compliance with our multi-site UK export licence and providing guidance and advice to the Urenco Group on applicable export control legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Export Control Expertise: Act as the export control subject matter expert, providing day-to-day export control advice and escalating queries as necessary.
- Compliance Management: Ensure that appropriate export control records and consignee undertakings are collated, maintained, and readily available for inspection.
- Licence Applications: Prepare and submit new UK export licence applications for certain exports of goods, software, and technology by the Urenco Group.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide timely, accurate, and professional advice to the internal customer community and proactively participate in projects where export control licence advice is required.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement actions to address any licensing issues arising out of export control audits.
- Policies and Procedures: Support and develop internal export control licensing policies and procedures, including internal processes required to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in an export control licensing role.
- Knowledge: Specialist and detailed knowledge of relevant UK export control regulations, with experience in export control licence applications within the UK.
- Communication: Ability to communicate directly and confidently with senior management and export control regulators.
- Skills: Experience of designing and implementing an export control programme in a multi-national organisation, with the ability to analyse complex business situations and advise on the impact of export control regulations.
- Annual Leave: 27 days per annum.
