About the Role

Coventry City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Moat House Primary School. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Preparation: Contribute to the development of lesson plans and materials tailored to individual student needs and group activities.
  • Instruction Delivery: Lead and facilitate agreed-upon lessons, providing clear instructions and guidance to students.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor student progress, assess their understanding, and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating regularly with teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an individual who possesses the following qualities:

  • Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of KS2 curriculum.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth and development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or an equivalent. A relevant First Aid qualification is desirable.
