Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a prominent player in the field of industrial automation technologies and services, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Cost Management services on projects with values ranging from £500,000 to £20 million, ensuring the business's interests are protected in all cost and scheduling discussions.

Candidates will engage in large-scale construction, design, and management projects governed by NEC forms of contract.

Position Overview

- Support Project Managers daily to ensure commercial and financial objectives are met.
- Proactively identify potential issues and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Contribute to regular and precise reporting to Operations and Project Managers, including PPR, CVR, Cash Flow, and Weekly Updates.
- Prepare and submit valuations, and negotiate final accounts.
- Oversee the commercial management of multiple sites, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Price and submit contract variations, negotiating final accounts with client Quantity Surveyors.
- Provide guidance on contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice periods and application processes.
- Assist the proposal team with pricing and engineering estimates.
- Engage with clients on commercial contract aspects and resolve pricing disputes.
- Attend site progress and contract review meetings.
- Ensure quality assurance during project review phase gates.
- Adhere to company procedures.

Position Requirements

- Proven experience in large-scale Construction, Design, and Management projects.
- Experience with Gas Network Transmission and NEC contracts is highly desirable.
- Minimum qualification of HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience managing multiple small projects or a single project up to £10 million.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Health & Safety regulations.
- Valid UK driving license.

Remuneration

- Salary: £60,000

- Working hours: 37 hours per week

- Bonus Scheme: up to 10%

- Holiday Package: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service

- Hybrid working model: 2 days from home

- Life and sickness insurance.

- Pension contribution up to 12.5%, depending on criteria.
