We are seeking a highly skilled Property Inspector to join our Asset Management team at Paradigm Housing Group. As a Property Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough property inspections, ensuring compliance with quality standards and consent requirements.
Your primary objective will be to identify defects and repairs, and raise work orders where necessary. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed, accurate reports following inspections and providing support on project work as required by the Surveying Services Manager.
In addition, you will be responsible for arranging appointments with customers, maintaining clear and accurate records of communications, and ensuring inspections are completed on time and contribute to the team's KPI targets.
You will be working closely with internal teams, such as Asset Management and Property Services, to ensure repairs and works are scheduled and completed within agreed timelines.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced property inspector with a background in housing or building, ideally with experience in the residential property sector. You should have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
You should also have a methodical approach to identifying building defects effectively, and a customer-focused attitude that ensures residents feel supported and valued.
We are looking for someone with a collaborative mindset, who is comfortable working in a team but is also confident working independently, following lone worker practices where necessary.
You should be comfortable using IT systems to produce reports and communicate findings, and take pride in delivering a high standard of work.
Requirements- Relevant professional qualification in Social Housing or and/or suitable experience within the residential property sector.
- Experience in conducting property condition surveys and producing accurate, detailed written reports.
- Ability to identify basic building defects and a good understanding of building regulations and planning processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a personal vehicle
