Position Overview: Our esteemed client in the maritime sector is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to enhance their team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a professional and compliant procurement process for the organization and its affiliates.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of procurement principles and possess prior experience in a procurement capacity.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Core Duties:
- Ensure high-quality execution of all routine procurement tasks and related administrative functions.
- Provide a reliable supply of quality products and services to the fleet of managed vessels operating globally.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate optimal purchasing agreements regarding quality, pricing, terms, delivery, and services with suppliers.
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders within the Procurement Division.
- Oversee and manage third-party logistics operations.
- Regularly assess and report on the performance of Approved Vendors.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
