Graduate Learning Support Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a reputable SEN school in central Liverpool.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide support to students with additional needs, including ASD, SEMD, and SpLD. The role involves organizing learning activities, working one-on-one with students, and using technology to enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a learning environment that recognizes the difficulties faced by SEN students
  • Work with fellow learning support assistants to identify specific needs of each child
  • Use technology to engage students in learning
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure activities align with the national curriculum
  • Communicate with students to determine their needs and ensure they are met
  • Observe students to identify changes in behavior or other areas and report to the classroom teacher
