Senior Electrical Design Engineer

A leading power company in Kent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering full projects of the company's specialist products, including electrical design of control panels and switchgear, system design of power generation systems, and liaison with mechanical and controls systems engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background, with previous experience in electrical design using CAD software, preferably EPLAN. They will also have experience with drive technology and a good understanding of startup and commissioning activities.

In return, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have the opportunity to work with a growing and forward-thinking company, with a great product and a growing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver full projects of the company's specialist products
  • Electrical design of control panels and switchgear
  • System design of power generation systems
  • Liaison with mechanical and controls systems engineers
  • Advising and mentoring more junior staff
Requirements:
  • Electrical degree
  • Previous electrical design experience using CAD software
  • Experience with drive technology
  • Experience in the power generation and/or battery systems market
  • Good knowledge of startup and commissioning activities
