Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin speaking Corporate Banking Analyst to join our team at People First. As a key member of our Business Development Department, you will play a supporting role to the Corporate Banking Relationship Manager in originating, structuring, and executing new deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Corporate Banking Relationship Manager in developing new business opportunities for the bank.
- Conduct due diligence analysis, prepare credit proposals, and facilitate client onboarding and facility funding for new transactions.
- Follow the bank's internal process to achieve successful deal closure.
- Contribute to business development and promote the bank's products to targeted clients.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends by maintaining regular updates with key industry contacts.
- Play a vital role in covenant and post-lending monitoring of the bank's existing loan book.
- Work on periodic and non-periodic reviews of the existing portfolio names.
- Liaise with counterparties to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to regulations, legal obligations, and data protection rules.
- Develop skills in account planning, client pitching, and cross-selling.
- Familiarize yourself with the bank's policies and procedures.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by your line manager and department head.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in economics, accounting, finance, business, or law.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role in the financial sector, preferably in commercial/corporate banking.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Result-oriented and able to work in a small team with a positive attitude.
- Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
