About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Haringey. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across various subject areas.
Responsibilities- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and facilitating small group activities.
- Individualised Learning: Work closely with students who require additional support, adapting teaching materials, and providing targeted interventions to ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respectful behaviour, and implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Assessments and Progress Monitoring: Support teachers in assessing student progress, providing feedback, and recording student data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
- Extra-Curricular Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community by assisting in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports events, and school trips, fostering student engagement and personal development.
- A degree in any subject area, showcasing your commitment to academic excellence. Holding a degree at 2:2 or higher is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach, demonstrating your passion for education and your willingness to go above and beyond to support student learning.
- Flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working across various subjects and supporting different teaching styles.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.
- Hold a DBS registered to the update service or apply through GSL Education.
